Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SW Engineering Group Lead to lead our software engineering teams in Israel and Georgia, reporting directly to the VP of R&D. This role is pivotal in driving the execution of innovative software solutions that align with Healthee’s strategic vision. You will be responsible for leading the development of scalable and high-quality products, fostering technical excellence, and creating a motivated, high-performing engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and manage multiple software development teams and their team leads, ensuring high delivery standards and timelines.
- Foster a high-performance, motivated engineering culture that encourages accountability, ownership, and innovation.
- Mentor and grow engineering managers and tech leads, with a focus on long-term career development.
- Handle staffing decisions including hiring, firing, and compensation for the department.
Technical Execution
- Define and implement best practices in software architecture, coding standards, testing, and peer reviews.
- Contribute to and review technical designs and architectural decisions to ensure systems are aligned with business needs.
- Provide hands-on guidance in debugging and triaging mission-critical systems when necessary.
- Champion the elimination of technical debt through structured planning and smart trade-offs.
Strategic Planning & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management, Design, and other departments to define the software roadmap and execution strategy.
- Translate complex business requirements into reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions.
- Set and track OKRs to drive strategic alignment and measure team progress.
- Balance velocity and quality while making real-time decisions that support company goals.
Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and engineering operations.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security across platforms and services.
- Anticipate and proactively respond to resourcing needs, system risks, and delivery bottlenecks.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations to maintain competitive advantage.
Cultural Leadership
- Lead by example in demonstrating Healthee’s core values and behaviors.

Requirements:
- Proven experience (10+ years) in software development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, including managing managers.
- Hands-on experience with modern software development technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices-based systems.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-availability systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions in real time.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and lead teams.
- Experience working with agile methodologies and managing distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
- Experience in SaaS or cloud-based platforms (B2C SaaS product experience is preferred).
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Basic knowledge of security, privacy and data protection practices.
- Experience working with offshore teams in different time zones as well as customers and external vendors.
