About Masterschool
Masterschool is an applied education research lab on a mission to unlock human potential. We’re a group of educators, researchers, and engineers building software and models at the edge of what’s possible - with the goal of improving the lives of billions.
At MSIT – Master School Institute of Technology, a global network of schools led by industry leaders, we offer immersive online programs that equip students with the skills, mentorship, and industry connections necessary to succeed in tech careers.
About the role
We're looking for an experienced ML & AI Engineer to help us develop curriculum for our AI & ML Engineering program at Masterschool. This is a content creation role — you'll design and build the learning materials (async lessons, live session guides, and projects) that take career changers from data foundations all the way to building and deploying production-grade AI systems.
You'll work closely with our Academic Lead and learning designer to ensure the content is rigorous, practical, and reflects what the industry actually expects from junior ML and AI engineers today.
What you'll be developing content for
- LLM application patterns and RAG: embeddings, chunking, vector search
- Tool-augmented AI systems and function calling
- AI orchestration with LangChain and LangGraph
- MLOps and LLMOps: MLflow, experiment tracking, model registry, versioning
- API and service engineering: FastAPI, Docker
- Production agent systems: multi-agent architectures with LangGraph and CrewAI
- Monitoring, observability, and production reliability
- AI system design and architecture: scoping AI features, build vs buy decisions, cost/latency/quality trade-offs, translating business requirements into technical specs
- AI security, safety, and governance: prompt injection defence, red-teaming, output validation, EU AI Act compliance, and audit trails for AI systems
What we're looking for
- Hands-on professional experience in ML engineering, AI engineering, or a closely related role (3+ years preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Python, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), and at least one orchestration framework (LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent)
- Experience with MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar MLOps tooling
- Experience building and deploying ML or LLM-based systems in production
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured learning materials for beginners
- Previous experience creating educational content is a strong plus
- Structured thinker who can design content that builds progressively without overwhelming learners
- Reliable, communicative, and able to work to deadlines
Nice to have
- Familiarity with multi-agent frameworks (CrewAI, AutoGen)
- Databricks ML Engineer Associate certification (or equivalent)
- Background in AI safety, guardrails, or responsible AI
What we offer
- Fully remote, flexible freelance engagement
- Collaborative team with fast feedback loops
