Job Description:
We are looking for an Accounting Associate to join our Finance Team to help with the day-to-day tasks within our department. Your duties will include compiling and reviewing financial information,data entry, and maintaining records.
What You’ll Do:
- Record direct bill commission transactions and reconcile to statements received to cash received
- Monitor cash accounts daily to ensure all transactions recorded and update cash projection
- Process weekly deposits of commission checks
- Reconcile clients receivable accounts
- Manage agency bill collections and refunds
- Process carrier premium remit payments
- Record vendor invoices and process payments on weekly basis
- Maintain an organized electronic filing system
- Review and assign mail correspondence
What We Need:
- BA/BS and or a minimum of 1 year experience of accounting or office administration
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow
- Self-motivated individual to go above and beyond
- Multi-tasking abilities, versatility, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment are necessary skills for this position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in and a high comfort level with Excel is required - Prior experience working with EPIC (Applied Systems) and NetSuite is a plus!
- Prior insurance industry experience is a definite plus!
- High level of data entry accuracy and the ability to handle a high volume effectively
