Backed by the biggest names in insurance and tech, we're experiencing exponential growth and are seeking an enterprising and enthusiastic Insurance Product Manager to join our dynamic team.
We're inviting a seasoned and execution-focused Insurance Product Lead to lead our Casualty insurance product management team. This is a highly visible and cross-functional position with primary responsibility for developing and managing General Liability and Excess Casualty products across a broad range of business classes. We are particularly interested in candidates with deep expertise in GL underwriting and product management. What You’ll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of Insurance Product Managers, fostering professional growth and ensuring strong cross-functional execution.
- Manage profitability, growth, and risk profile of the Casualty portfolio (GL and Excess Casualty).
- Develop tools/models to analyze loss performance, rate adequacy, and segmentation strategies.
- Use data-driven insights to refine and optimize appetite, coverage, and pricing structures & logic.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and performance data to drive improvements and competitiveness.
- Lead end-to-end development of new casualty insurance products and enhancements.
- Deliver product updates and performance reports to senior leadership.
- Act as subject matter expert, representing the Casualty portfolio to external and internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Partner with engineering, technical product, legal, compliance, actuarial, and data science teams on delivery and maintenance of compliant and scalable insurance solutions.
- Coordinate new filings, form updates, and regulatory initiatives with Legal and Compliance.
What We Need:
- 10+ years of Casualty insurance experience (underwriting, product, actuarial, or related), with emphasis on General Liability.
- Established success in building high-performing teams, and leading and developing people.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, build business cases, and drive product planning and execution.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, creative in building solutions, and rigorous in execution.
- Skilled at articulating strategy and performance to both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple workstreams across multiple functions.
- BA/BS degree; advanced degree (MBA, MS) or insurance certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are a plus.
