The Role

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, People Operations & Talent to support employee experience for a portfolio of our US-based corporate (non-Customer Care) teams. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role will serve as a strategic HR Business Partner while owning and scaling critical People programs including compensation and benefits, compliance, onboarding/offboarding, employee engagement and communications, leave administration, and learning and development.

This role will play a key part in ensuring our People systems, documentation, and programs are audit-ready and scalable. You’ll partner cross-functionally with leadership, legal, and finance to bring rigor and HR excellence into every phase of the employee lifecycle.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

Strategic and Tactical HR

  • Act as the HR Business Partner for assigned corporate departments, supporting leaders and employees across all stages of the employee lifecycle, partnering with department heads to align People programs with team needs and business goals
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, job changes, performance feedback, and transitions
  • Support employee relations issues and performance management with sound judgment and coaching

Systems and Process Professionalization

  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and documentation meet highest quality standards
  • Create and continuously update SOPs for key US HR processes related to employee lifecycle milestones–from onboarding to promotion to offboarding
  • Drive improvements in People systems, audit processes, and controls in partnership with Legal and Finance
  • Partner with Chief People Officer in crafting employee communications programs and designing change management initiatives

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Partner with other HR leadership to lead annual compensation cycles, salary benchmarking, internal leveling, and total rewards strategy in partnership with the CPO
  • Oversee end-to-end benefits administration, when appropriate
  • Manage vendor relationships, open enrollment, and employee support around benefits and wellness
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws; oversee required reporting (e.g., EEO-1, CA Pay Data, OSHA)

Leave & Compliance Administration

  • Oversee leave of absence administration (FMLA, parental leave, disability, etc.), ensuring employees are supported and documentation is accurate and timely
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers navigating complex leave scenarios and accommodations

Employee Engagement, Communication & Culture

  • Lead internal communication efforts that promote clarity, alignment, and engagement
  • Analyze employee engagement trends and develop programs that improve retention, morale, and culture

Learning & Development

  • Support performance management cycles, manager training, and skill-building initiatives
  • Help build scalable frameworks for feedback, growth, and internal mobility
  • Partner with CPO to design and implement professional development programs, including the stand-up of an internal Academy

People Systems & Reporting

  • Ensure HRIS data integrity; partner with People Ops leaders on workflows and system improvements
  • Develop and share People metrics that inform strategy and support executive decision-making

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a People Ops or HRBP leadership role
  • Proven success building or maturing HR programs in high-growth and dynamic environments
  • Strong expertise in compensation, benefits administration, and leave management
  • Solid understanding of HR compliance and reporting requirements
  • A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience designing and leading engagement initiatives for a varied workforce (salaried and hourly)
  • While not required, experience in non-HR roles of business management (e.g. P&L management experience) or consulting (e.g. big 4 firm OD consulting) are desirable

How We Pay:

  • We believe in paying fairly and equitably based on a number of factors including but not limited to previous experience, relevant work history, interview performance, geographical location, internal equity, and expected level of ownership.
  • We are targeting a base salary of $120,000- $140,00 per year for this role
  • This role will also be granted company equity via stock options
