Founded in Israel in 2010, Tipalti is a global business headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area (Foster City) with offices in Tel Aviv, Plano, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Amsterdam and Tbilisi.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the KYC review process for the UK/EU region.
  • Oversee the Payer Risk Review function.
  • Manage and mentor a team, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Maintain the integrity of quality control by reviewing high-risk/complex files.
  • Ensure KYC controls are functioning as expected.
  • Provide training to staff and track performance.
  • Implement and monitor KYC policies.
  • Establish and report on KPIs and SLA quotas.
  • Handle escalations related to high-risk customers and perform Enhanced Due Diligence.
  • Act as a point person for compliance-related escalations from other departments.

About you

  • Proven experience managing and leading a team.
  • Proven experience in AML.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with KYC tools and technologies.
  • Excellent English proficiency (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrate Tipalti’s value of ownership, showing initiative and accountability.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements in the UK/EU.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in financial due diligence and transaction review is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of KYC, BSA, and AML to apply judgment in the identification and escalation of key BSA/AML risks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Startup or financial bank services experience is a plus.
