In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Lead the KYC review process for the UK/EU region.
- Oversee the Payer Risk Review function.
- Manage and mentor a team, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
- Maintain the integrity of quality control by reviewing high-risk/complex files.
- Ensure KYC controls are functioning as expected.
- Provide training to staff and track performance.
- Implement and monitor KYC policies.
- Establish and report on KPIs and SLA quotas.
- Handle escalations related to high-risk customers and perform Enhanced Due Diligence.
- Act as a point person for compliance-related escalations from other departments.
About you
- Proven experience managing and leading a team.
- Proven experience in AML.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with KYC tools and technologies.
- Excellent English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Demonstrate Tipalti’s value of ownership, showing initiative and accountability.
- Experience with regulatory requirements in the UK/EU.
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in financial due diligence and transaction review is a must.
- Strong knowledge of KYC, BSA, and AML to apply judgment in the identification and escalation of key BSA/AML risks.
- Excellent problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
- Startup or financial bank services experience is a plus.
