We are looking for a talented SRE Manager (Site Reliability Manager) to step onto a fintech unicorn rocketship and lead our dynamic Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, creating true impact and owning your team's deliverables from planning stages to production.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

As a team lead, you will be accountable for your team’s output, upholding a high technical bar while overcoming a multitude of technological challenges. Our key strength is our people - you will be responsible for empowering and coaching your people, organizing their work, setting goals, and making sure they are engaged.

Our team regularly refines our methods of work, tools, and technologies. We value independence, natural curiosity, ownership, and the desire for constant improvement. As part of your role, you will manage the Georgia team of SRE and report to the Director of SRE in Israel.

The Impact You Will Make:

  • You will co-own critical production service designs to ensure a high bar of reliability is achievable and measurable.
  • You’ll drive reliability and observability improvements in the services within the engineering verticals.
  • Using monitoring and telemetry data, you’ll help Tipalti teams make informed decisions on where reliability challenges may exist and help design and build solutions to improve them.
  • You’ll build and improve internal tools and automation software to make maintaining production services easier and safer.
  • You’ll champion and lead reliability-focused practices such as Failure Analysis, Load and Capacity Planning, Service Reviews, Architecture Designs, Incident Postmortems, and others.
  • Defining (from design to implementation details) the necessary auto-healing systems.
  • Point of contact for production application issues, working closely with engineering leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a local team of SRE engineers in Tbilisi team as a part of the Global SRE group and report to the Director of SRE in Israel.
  • Drive incident response and post-mortem processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Design, build and improve internal tools and automation software to make maintaining production services easier and safer.
  • Lead reliability-focused practices such as SLO (Service Level Objective) design and implementation, Failure Analysis, Load and Capacity Planning, Service Reviews, Architecture Designs, Incident Postmortems, and others.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, providing expertise and support during critical system incidents and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Ensure high technical standards and overcome various technological challenges.
  • Be accountable for the team's output, empowering and coaching team members, setting goals, and ensuring engagement.

About you

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a software development role
  • Extensive experience of leading software development/DevOps teams
  • Experienced with building complex large-scale web applications, with C#/Java on the backend side
  • Experience with Micro Services architecture
  • Experience with troubleshooting high-load Production issues
  • Experience working with one of the major Cloud providers (AWS, GC, Azure)
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices, and a mindset to learn new skills
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and drive people
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Technical writing, documentation, and communication skills

Advantages:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience working on large-scale, high-traffic platforms.
  • Distributed monitoring experience with logging, metrics and tracing using
  • OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and other observability platforms
  • Additional scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python
  • Previous experience working as SRE
