Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Card Payments leader to play a key role within the Card line of business at Tipalti. As the Manager, Card Payments, this role is central to the daily oversight, optimization, and strategic stewardship of our virtual card payment delivery operation, directly impacting revenue realization. The primary responsibility of this role includes leading and managing a global team of 7+ payment delivery agents, ensuring successful, timely, and secure payment processing. This leader will be instrumental in providing a seamless payment experience for both our customers and their suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a remote, high-performing team in the B2B card operations sector, specifically within card payment delivery, proxy payment services, and/or supplier enrollment/enablement.

Founded in Israel in 2010, Tipalti is a global business headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area (Foster City) with offices in Tel Aviv, Plano, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Amsterdam, Tbilisi and Medellin.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage a card payment operations team, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring team workload and quality, and providing continuous coaching, training, and documentation for all card payment processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Payment Operations, Support, Product, and Data teams to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement by leading the execution of team-specific projects, identifying revenue and operational bottlenecks, and designing and implementing innovative solutions that significantly boost efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage complex card payment support and escalations for internal stakeholders, including handling payment inquiries and transaction research.
- Provide thought leadership, integrating industry best practices and innovative strategies into the card payment operations function.
- Generate and present regular reporting to management, detailing performance metrics, KPIs, and operational risks.
- Support the success of the Card line of business and contribute directly to Tipalti revenue growth by taking on other responsibilities as required.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payment operations within fintech, banking, or card payments, with a strong focus on commercial card programs.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing or supervising operations staff; experience with remote team management is a plus.
- Deep understanding of card payments concepts, including authorization, clearing, settlement, chargebacks, interchange, and the operating rules for Visa, Mastercard, and other relevant networks.
- Experience managing or supporting corporate card and virtual card programs.
- Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating effectively with external payment partners.
- Familiarity with payment risk, fraud indicators, and operational controls in a card-based B2B context.
Skills:
- Proficiency with SalesForce, ZenDesk, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suite
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large transaction datasets, reporting tools, and dashboards to identify trends and issues.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with a high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
