As Tipalti’s Director, Creative, you’ll directly lead and manage a team of designers to execute the evolution of Tipalti’s brand design and visual story. You‘ll also roll up your sleeves to ideate, review, and execute standout design work across major creative projects. You‘ll ensure excellence in craft and foster continuous improvement in practices and design trends, leading by example and providing mentorship and constructive feedback. You’ll oversee and execute with creative rigor and visual consistency across every touchpoint. You‘ll combine strategic thinking, deep business knowledge, and creative excellence to develop assets that resonate across all marketing touchpoints. You will be the eye for consistency in our visual identity and a chief pillar of our brand expression.

Founded in Israel in 2010, Tipalti is a global business headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area (Foster City) with offices in Tel Aviv, Plano, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Amsterdam, Tbilisi and Medellin.
Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on, tactical visual execution balanced with ‘big picture’ strategic creative thinking and production leadership management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams — i.e., Product Marketing, Web, Digital Marketing, SEO, Content, Testing, and regional stakeholders — to deliver creative solutions that align with business objectives and resonate with prospects and customers.
- Lead the conception and execution of innovative visual approaches and solutions that drive measurable engagement, while ensuring our brand maintains a distinctive look and feel.
- Coordinate and align our creative and technical approaches to print, digital, web, animation, and video.
- Clarify, define, and even elevate incoming creative briefs and requests in order to drive the marketing business and surprise and delight stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Creative team and marketing stakeholders to intake, scope, plan, prioritize, track, and deliver work that meets the brief, brand, budget, and committed timelines.
- Be a strategic advisor to internal teams and help evolve our web, content, and digital marketing approach to meet ever-shifting market trends.
- Own, maintain, and publish Tipalti brand visual guidelines to ensure brand visual consistency across the Creative team, Marketing team, contractors, and agencies, and across key assets (e.g., website, corporate slide template, executive presentations, ad units, booths, social, etc.).
- Innovate with AI. Embrace emerging technologies and identify how AI can improve creative creation, performance, activity scale, customer self-service, timely delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Use a data-driven mindset, have the ability to analyze performance and testing metrics to refine creative strategies, and improve results.
- Oversee and direct agency and contractor work, ensuring work is on-brand and cost-effective. Also, ensure non-creative team marketing agencies deliver on-brand work with published brand guidelines and briefings as needed.
- Oversee and direct any original photography, video production, or animation/motion graphics.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of design experience with 5+ years of leading and managing an in-house B2B SaaS tech creative team. (a mix of tech brand and startup or newly-public company experience is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in SaaS technology companies selling to line-of-business personas. Finance or fintech experience is a plus.
- Excellent project and process management skills, proven ability to build a scalable, consistent, trackable creative production process across internal teams, contractors, and agencies while managing to commitments and budget.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills — strong storytelling and verbal presentation experience, with the ability to influence marketing partners and leaders by demonstrating measurable business impact.
- Fluent understanding of the marketing funnel, different marketing channels, and performance measurement. Also deep understanding of business buyer needs, challenges, and decision-making processes.
- Polished, robust portfolio showcasing versatile creative deliverables: integrated brand campaigns, growth and ad campaigns, brand design work, across various moments of the funnel and different media.
- A deep understanding and past use of AI tools to help drive efficiency and scale across programs. Comfort with emerging tech and tools in general (design automation & AI).
- Strategic thinking, with a sharp eye for design systems and a proven ability to translate business objectives into compelling visual narratives that drive measurable results.
- Advanced proficiency in generalist design tools (Figma, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Google Slides).
- Comfort and familiarity with designing for Web (i.e. UX, SEO, web page ranking & scores).
- Proven ability to stay ahead of or current with design trends in order to maintain and innovate.
- BA or BFA in a closely relevant subject area (graphic design, advertising, art direction).
The anticipated base pay rate for this position is 182,000-215,000 USD annually.
