Who We Are

We’re building the future of real estate — today.

HomeLight is the real estate technology platform powering innovative transactions for top agents, lenders, and their clients. Our technology makes it easier to buy and sell homes, whether that's enabling clients to buy before they sell, find a top agent, or have certainty through a modern closing process. Each year, HomeLight facilitates billions of dollars of residential real estate business on its platform for thousands of agents and loan officers. Our vision is a world where every real estate transaction is simple, certain, and satisfying for all.

Our team breaks barriers every day while staying committed to HomeLight's goals and core values, which is a crucial element to our shared success.

Who You Are

As a Home Builder Relationship Manager, you are the primary point of contact for homebuyers referred through our home builder channel. You guide buyers through HomeLight’s Buy Before You Sell (BBYS) program—from first conversation through approval—helping them unlock equity and remove the sale contingency so they can confidently move forward on their new build.

While you build strong relationships with builder representatives and lending partners, your core responsibility is converting and supporting referred buyers. You thrive in high-urgency environments, respond quickly to inbound opportunities, and are confident pitching a financial product directly to consumers in a consultative, education-first way.

This is a high-ownership, conversion-focused role within a rapidly growing channel.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the buyer journey end-to-end for builder-referred BBYS clients—from initial outreach through application and approval.
  • Respond rapidly to new inbound referrals (often same-day), run discovery calls, and clearly position BBYS to drive application and approval.
  • Convert warm builder-referred leads into active BBYS customers through consultative selling and structured follow-up.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between buyer, builder representative, and lender—keeping all stakeholders informed and maintaining deal momentum.
  • Manage a high-volume pipeline in HubSpot with disciplined activity, follow-up, and accurate forecasting.
  • Educate builder sales teams on when BBYS is a fit and how the referral process works—strengthening trust and repeat referral behavior.
  • Partner with Builder Operations and Title & Escrow to proactively identify issues and ensure a smooth client experience.
  • Support rotating weekend coverage to meet builder and buyer demand.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in mortgage, real estate, or consultative financial sales (Loan Officer, LOA, builder sales, or similar) preferred.
  • Proven experience converting warm leads into customers in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
  • Comfort pitching financial products directly to consumers and handling objections.
  • Working knowledge of the mortgage process, DTI, underwriting basics, and pre-approval dynamics preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across clients, builders, and loan officers.
  • Experience managing high-velocity pipelines in HubSpot or similar CRM.
  • High responsiveness, urgency, and accountability.

  • Medical (Aetna or Kaiser), Dental & Vision (Guardian)
